Dr. Dai has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in the areas of electronics, computer systems, software, semiconductors, telecommunications, and mechanical devices. Dr. Dai has done extensive prior art searching and analysis. Dr. Dai is experienced in performing novelty searches, validity/invalidity searches, freedom to operate searches and IP landscape searches.
Prior to entering the field of patent law, Dr. Dai worked as a research scientist at a technology company, where he was engaged in research and development of processing equipment for the semiconductor, solar power, medical device industries, etc. Dr. Dai’s work included prototype development, customer technical support, and technology transfer of intellectual property to industrial applications.
Dr. Dai received his Ph.D. in E.E. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2006. Dr. Dai also holds M.S. E.E. and B.S.E.E from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China.
Dr. Dai is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
